Where to Rent a Car and What to See in Albania?

Sumbush
Hey guys, I've been hitting up Europe pretty hard over the past couple years. Been through Germany, France, Spain, knocked out a few countries in Eastern Europe too. But I totally skipped the Balkans somehow and now I'm thinking Albania might be a good place to start checking that region off my list. Honestly though, I don't know much about the country at all. What's actually worth seeing there and where can I rent a car so I can drive around and explore everything on my own?

Man, the Balkans are pretty underrated if you ask me. Most people just stick to the same Western Europe loop and miss out on some really cool stuff. The thing about those countries is they're still pretty cheap compared to the rest of the continent, and you get way more authentic experiences without all the tourist crowds everywhere. Albania's got some solid coastline along the Adriatic, some mountains if you're into that kind of thing, and the people are pretty chill. You should definitely grab a rental and get out there to see it yourself instead of just hitting the main cities.

Look, once you get outside the typical tourist routes, you realize how much character these places still have. A lot of visitors sleep on the smaller Balkan countries but they're actually developing some cool spots worth visiting. You can rent a car pretty easily in Albania here https://getrentacar.com/en-US/albania . The thing is, you'll get way better rates if you book with private owners instead of the big rental companies. Local guys usually charge less and they don't hit you with all those crazy requirements and insurance fees that the corporate places try to stick you with.
