... Giles, this means you too ;-) -S |
Hello Stephen --
For whatever reason, Mary (who seldom checks this account) is on the list for reminders, while I am not. I talked to Carl about it -- being on the Summary sign-up doesn't get you these more important e-mails, apparently. Please put me on whatever list it is that will get any change-of-venue notices. See you in a half-hour (at St J's!) heh -- I didn't see this before the meeting, but it was good to be
there, and good to find it again. ^_^ On 2/16/06, Stephen Guerin <stephen.guerin at redfish.com> wrote: > ** meeting at St. John's until further notice ** > > > > ... Dude, I posted that to this message board that all these teenage raver
chicks are on, and half of them laughed at me because it was corny and the other half cried because they were afraid! That maze is AWFUL! (I didn't realize how it ended, I only got to level 3.) I didn't get it until I saw the reaction videos--i didn't have the
patience to bother with it once I (thought) I saw the general jist of it. I've seen other gags of this type--one asked you to look very closely at some image to catch a subtle change, then the startling surprise appears. I think though, that the scary face is secondary to the startle reaction. The loud, piercing scream is what really startles people, gets the old fight-or-flight thing cooking. If you have someone run the maze with the sound off you'll get a much milder reaction (or none besides "huh?") than with the sound on. ~~James |
