Actually the Hispanic population is fairly conservative. Not the farmworkers themselves that much, but the rest of the Hispanic population. They work very hard for their money, take care of their own, believe in a capitalistic society, and don't like "handouts" much and like to be left alone otherwise. They often see the Republicans as being stronger capitalists and don't pay much attention to the Republican tendency to abuse the middle class, spend too much on war, and be neanderthals when it comes to shifting to things like environmental technologies.
