the market and evolution

Based on the research by UNFPA, the most significant factor in reducing  
birth rates is wealth.  Wealth, however, seems to speed growth and the  need for
more and more natural resources.  An interesting paradox  which might lead to
disaster.  It does of course explain many things such  as the fact that the
most popular name given to newborns in Belgium is  Mohammed.  I suspect that
there are models that address birth rate and  growth issues.
