Experts Versus Elites
https://www.overcomingbias.com/2021/02/experts-versus-elites.htmlAs always Hanson's propositions smell off to me somehow. This post makes some good points about specialists/bottom and generalists/top and panels/off-domain vs. presentations/on-domain. But there seems to be something lurking between the lines ... some kind of "offended stance" ... like he feels he doesn't get enough adulation for his contributions ... perhaps the irritating grain that might later become the *pearl* of a populist position (where the elite are all corrupt and need to be taken down a notch). I can definitely see him becoming a member of the Dark Enlightenment, if he's not already. Regardless, there's good meat on the bone if you're willing to gnaw at it.
