I take it that I should invite Kevan.  I shall but I can't be sure he's available.

Kevan would you be able to join us in the morning? See the virtual Friam link in the signature below.  We start at 9:00 but people come and go all morning.

funding and training of more social intervention programs, promoting
community activism (volunteering at shelters, say) for officers, and
what ideas he might have for cultivating more agency as civilians to
serve-and-protect one's own community. It is clearly the case the
policing needs an overhaul, but I wish to advocate for also for buying
a screwdriver when one only has a hammer.
