A bubbly, breathless young thing recruiting for Google called me almost two years ago based on my LinkedIn profile.  However, it was pretty clear that she (or her search software) had not bothered to read that profile.  I know how Google's security folks work and so I asked whether they had decided to form a red team - she had no idea what I was talking about.  After a couple of call-backs she became discouraged and quit bothering me.
