I was also curious if anyone had discussed the use of the VSM in gaming software?  I'm not much of a gamer, but most games track "health" of it's players based on all kinds of factors.  The VSM arithmetic seems like a good way to determine overall health of a system, providing the ability to build "recursive" hierarchies of achievement numbers.  It seems like it might be a good fit.

I've been looking at possible application areas for my viable system model software, called the viable system agent.  Gaming (and simulation) is an area I haven't gone into yet.

Thanks in advance,
