Identity cards in the UK

London School of Economics have just come out with a damning report on
Blair's proposed ID cards

civil liberties, unproven biometric technology etc.) but one in particular
was intriguing - "successful identity theft of a person's biometric data
would mean that their fingerprints or iris scans are permanently in the
hands of criminals, with little hope of revoking them."
Get new fingers and eyes installed?
