The situation remains that
scientists and/or engineers created nuclear weapons for which
we have no
anitdote. I think this reality of our current world does undermine if not
negate the standing of science and engineering. Why should we/I trust,
better yet how can
we ensure that science and scientific method will take
us in a different direction? Can
science and engineering be value free or
outside the domain of values?
