Depending on the type of crash, if it's a software thing I have had very
good luck with the Geek Squad working over the phone. Last week, they spent about 5 hrs. working with some strange problems on my laptop for a flat fee of $140. Ultimately they/we were successful. -Tom On Dec 21, 2007 9:01 AM, <PPARYSKI at aol.com> wrote: > DOTFOIL cheers Paul > > > > ------------------------------ > See AOL's top rated recipes<http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004>and easy > ways to stay in shape<http://body.aol.com/fitness/winter-exercise?NCID=aoltop00030000000003>for winter. > > ============================================================ > FRIAM Applied Complexity Group listserv > Meets Fridays 9a-11:30 at cafe at St. John's College > lectures, archives, unsubscribe, maps at http://www.friam.org > -- ========================================== J. Agreed. Dotfoil is the best local group I've worked with and they are
bi-platform. -d- On Dec 21, 2007, at 9:01 AM, PPARYSKI at aol.com wrote: > DOTFOIL cheers Paul > > > > See AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. > ============================================================ > FRIAM Applied Complexity Group listserv > Meets Fridays 9a-11:30 at cafe at St. John's College > lectures, archives, unsubscribe, maps at http://www.friam.org -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Thanks to you all for the good advice. As it turned out, Supercomputer
returned my call at 8:31 so I headed there with lights and siren. They took the thing right away, worked on it from then until about 3, added in a couple of disk maintenance programs, charged 180 bucks, and told a good story about a dog in last year's big snowstorm. Nice folks, thing works great now, if it crashes tomorrow I'll file an addendum, but at the moment nothing but good things to say about them. So Conejo Loco is back up and transcribing. Say, by the way, if you got any audio that needs converting to text, http://alcaldeellen.googlepages.com/ ..
