of $2,618.47, and since its availability on eBay in pre-sale (October 17 until
midnight last night), 3,533 PS3s have been sold for an average price of
$1,788.88."

I saw one go for over $5000 this morning, up $3000 in the last hour of
bidding.  The next one went for $8100, but those bids looked bogus.
The NYTimes had some screen shots of bids over $10K.

The main bummer is that it is only 256 MB, so using at as workstation is
going to hurt.  But the drive is SATA, so maybe could replace it with a
solid state drive?  Linux is otherwise ready to go,
