Greg Egan and other SciFi

Günther Greindl
Hi,

I know that some people on this list like to read Greg Egan;
as I am now nearly finished with his books (Incandescence is upcoming in
May I think, but that's only one more ;-) I would be interested if
anyone can recommend authors similar in style.

I especially like Egan's idea-centered approach and his no-nonsense
naturalism/reductionism and incorporation of up-to-date physics.

Cheers,
G?nther
