Been job-searching a bit. A company is looking for a data analyst here
in Santa Fe. They're "an emerging leader in the analytics space"
called Blackfoot, and their company slogan is "It shouldn't be hard to
be intelligent."
I'm not making this up:
http://santafe.craigslist.org/sof/148560629.htmlhttp://www.blackfootinc.com/analytix/index.htmYou can see it in the upper right-hand corner of their page.
Anyway if anyone here works for these folks, hey, that's cool, just
kidding. My current job title is "Java Monkey," who am I to talk.
Also found something that looks a good bit more interesting:
http://www.predict.com/html/openings.htmlCompany whose goal is to use various sorts of math, including chaos
theory and probably complexity stuff as well, to predict the stock
market. Seems neat. Looking for entry-level coders, mid-level coders,
and a senior research scientist.
