interactive weather (and fire coverage) map

The "Fire" link seems to give some useful information though the
"satellite detected fire" info seems to show more dire results than I
think are warranted?

That's about what the Forest Service had up as of 1am this morning.  
With the MODIS update of about a half an hour ago, it looks like the
fire has generally thinned out and cooled, except it has advanced a bit
to the northwest.
