All,
Some of you might be interested in the following hurricane blog. The text is a bit over the top, but what I love about this guy's blogs is the wealth of maps and images he provides to support his comments. These are at the END of the message, so scroll down to the bottom before you give up on him. Of particular interest to me ... in the light of Steve's comments about gradients over the year ... was the bloggers consideration of an upper air low over the Bahamas being a possible source for tropical storm development, given the very hot water below it. This contrast s entirely with other blogs earlier in the season where upper air high pressure is given as a reason for hurricane development. It is true that hurricanes cloud patterns are a little like towels that have been wrung out to get the moisture out of them in that the bottom half is twisted counter clockwise and the top half is twisted clockwise, if anybody has any thoughts about any of these, I would love to hear them. James shouldn't be the only person that has to straighten me out, here.
any way, the blog is.......
