A couple weeks ago I posted 'growth' (the developmental source of
complex organization) to the Wikipedia list of "Phenomena lacking clear
scientific explanation" in physics. The self-correcting wiki-system
that community editing represents has now dutifully erased it!!
Why what's happening with growth systems is so superbly hidden (they're
closed loops) is a good reason for science being slow to recognize that
anything is happening in them at all. But is there a better
explanation for erasing it from the list of phenomena lacking clear
scientific explanation, than the self-correcting mechanisms of a world
view that tries to explain everything without it?
