NetLogo may have come after StarLogo, but it is by far the more powerful,
more sophisticated modeling tool based on the logo programming language.  In
its newest version, StarLogo very much has a "children's" feel to it;
NetLogo to the contrary is an easy to use, yet professional looking
package.

Both are agent-based modeling programs, but NetLogo's programming language
is far more developed, and is on a regular development cycle.  Changes to
StarLogo tend to be erratic and its online user community is far less active
than the NetLogo-users list from Yahoo.
