YELP, HELP!

Peter Lissaman
Does anyone know a computer wizard who will come (for $) to my home in
Santa Fe, and fix a recalcitrant laptop which seems to be surfing in
molasses!  I know it defies laws a' probability but the last four I paid
knew less than I!

Peter Lissaman,  Da Vinci Ventures

Expertise is not knowing everything, but knowing what to look for.

Peter,  I've gotten very good recommendations (and had some limited good
experience) on the Computer Guru; I believe he makes housecalls, but I'm not
sure.

YELP, HELP!

Giles Bowkett
my monitor went dead during a thunderstorm, due to a power surge, and
the Computer Guru told me I needed Norton AntiVirus and a new monitor.
I got a cheap video card instead, plugged it in, problem solved.

long story short, sorry, I personally can't recommend the Computer Guru at all.

I'd volunteer but I'm in Los Angeles.

btw apologies to the Friamers I saw yesterday right before I left --
couldn't talk because (obviously) I had a long drive ahead of me.

YELP, HELP!

Pamela McCorduck
FWIW, Joe and I have used Brett Goldberg of Computer Medics for
our--well, MY--Macintoshes for a couple of years.   Joe has a Dell
laptop, and Brett can manage that too.   Brett's just fine, but get his
first appointment of the day, or you'll wait for damn forever.  We've
also used Rexray with happy results.

"A writer is only a writer when writing.  The rest is marking time.
And your published books and plays don't count; they only prove that
you were a writer yesterday but not today, not now."
