Web 2.0 awards

Tom Johnson
 Listers:

We've been watching the Web 2.0 kettle heat up during the past six or nine
months, greatly impressed with the creative range that's happening.  Turns
out others are too.  Here's a link to an interesting collection of
not-on-your-desktop applications.

*     Web 2.0 Awards <http://web2.0awards.org/>

Awards for websites excelling in "Web 2.0"
capabilities, such as "user empowerment and open-source
applications online." Includes descriptions and rankings of
the winning sites (in areas such as social networking and
tagging), selection criteria, and an essay. Librarian Gary
Price was one of the judges. Sponsored by an Internet
 marketing company.

       LII Item: http://lii.org/cs/lii/view/item/21133

And as I write this, I'm also playing with a web page building app at
http://www.netvibes.com/

Damn, I love this kind of creative energy.

Tom,

I love how you are always able to find cool new sites which cause me to
spend time I could be using for other work :-)

Netvibes is cool!

Web 2.0 awards

Tom Johnson
Yup.  At FRIAM this morning, Steve Guerin thanked me for burning two hours
of his time yesterday.  Hey, just imagine how much time Lewis and Clark
spent studying prairie dog towns.
