People need to be reminded of the monopolistic software prison they live in. They don't have to use Windows, and there is better software out there. If you can leave any time you like, it's not a prison. "If you can leave any time you like, it's not a prison. It's just a
really shitty hotel." That is, unless your company demands that you use a specific software vendor's product. Then it really is a prison, or at least a detention area. In my perspective the prevalence of craptastic software is partly a result of the inability of individuals to make their own choices regarding an HMI that works best for them. What we need is a 'Computer Users Bill of Rights' which guarantees freedom of choice of human-machine-interface. Hey, been there, doing that. My company was "All Windows, all the time" until just recently. I need to have a Windows VM running at all times on my Linux box so that I can enter my time, submit my travel expenses, run a propriety Windows-only VPN app to get in through the firewall, create ppt files, etc. etc. etc.

Otherwise, get VirtualBox, VMware, Parallels, KVM, Xen, etc. as appropriate and run what you want.
