Personally, I think we keep looking at the wrong place. Rather than
look at jobs, we should look at availability of infrastructure, from
universal health to universal networking, from living wage to living
education. It may be that europe, with all its problems, may surge
ahead of the US primarily due to their huge investments in human/social
resources.
