Eric Schmidt and Jared Cohen's new book:

I listened to the "Book Talk" at the Aspen Institute with the
authors:
Several things struck me:
- The Internet makes it easier to start a revolution (or any
significant change) but maybe harder to finish one. Is this
something we are seeing amongst the Arab Spring circumstances?
- Their visit to North Korea provided some interesting insights
I had not heard before.
- The ethic (aesthetic?) of "you have zero privacy, get over it"
seems to arise in a softer form from Schmidt (following
McNealy?) and still leaves me queasy.
- Information may be agnostic but the internet is a hotbed of
emotion and "crank" psuedoscience.
- The discussion of the move from *trusted* sources to *nearly
trusted* sources was interesting.
- There is a (natural?) bias toward "check it for yourself"
(with Google Search!).
- This book (from the interview/discussion) would seem to be an
interesting complement/bookend to Kotler's "Abundance"
- Steve
