Santa Fe Complex Fundraising Glitches

Don Begley
I understand some folks have not been able to donate to the complex
because of glitches on our site, www.sfcomplex.org/zen-cart. I worked
on the site and, hopefully, made donations easier.

When you are ready to checkout, please choose the PayPal button
regardless of whether you have a PayPal account. (Our PayPal merchant
account lets you use your VISA, MasterCard, Amex or Discover card
without your own PayPal account.) You should see a screen divided in
two vertically. The right side is for PayPal account login. The left
side leads to a standard credit card processing page. Choose it and
you're on your way.

Thanks to everyone who succeeded in making a contribution. We've
raised approximately $2500 so far, thanks to their generosity. We need
another $10k in the next 10 days to pay current expenses, so we
greatly appreciate any additional help those of you on this list can
offer.

We are beginning an institutional fund-raising program and have had
very positive responses so far. The difficulty we face is coordinating
our cash flow with the grant cycles of these institutions--in plainer
English, that means we have to meet our expenses while we apply for
and receive institutional support. Santa Fe helped us start this
process with the city's $29,000 personal services agreement. As Nick
noted, we have to raise $20,000 ourselves to get all of that grant. We
also have to demonstrate our ability to raise funds before we can
receive further city grants. Thus, we have an additional incentive in
our short-term fundraising effort, which is to complete our agreement
with the city.

Your help is the key to our short-term needs and long-term success.
FRIAM is the intellectual godfather of Santa Fe Complex. One of our
main goals is to create a virtual space where FRIAMers around the
world can see what happens here and participate in it. Your
contribution today will help us all move towards that goal.

Which leads to the ask, as they say in fundraising. Click here to go
to our donations site and make your contribution. If you have any
difficulties, please call me.

Santa Fe Complex Fundraising Glitches

George Duncan-2
Don,

I tried to donate $50 on my credit card. Got all the way to the end, and it
says "sorry we don't offer that support level".

Thanks for the note, George. I flipped some switches and made some
screen shots from the $50 educational sponsor level. (I also tested it
for the $50 web affiliate in case that was the one you selected. These
are low-res screen shots so let me know if a higher resolution is
better.) Hopefully this will help.

1. Select the Paypal button in the shopping cart

2. Select the continue checkout option on the left hand column if you
don't want to use Paypal.

The rest is straight-forward. Here are the screenshots.
3. Fill in the form and click review to continue.
