Joe,
I don't have good data for Northern New Mexico. Though two reps from recruiting
company RobertHalf.com stopped by our office for a chat and dropped off a 2006
IT salary guide. The guide is based on Robert Half's placement contracts last
year. It's fairly well broken down by about 50 different tech positions with
adjustment multipliers for certifications, different language skills, etc.
Salary figures are national and multipliers for about 75 US and Canadian cities
are alos listed. Unfortunately, Santa Fe isn't listed but Albuquerque is in
there with a multiplier of 0.87 of the norm. I would guess Santa Fe is about
equal to ABQ or somewhat higher around 0.90 and 0.95. Just a guess though.
Sample multipliers for cities in the salary guide are:
1.239 Boston
0.955 Pittsburgh
1.040 Phoenix
1.000 Milwaukee
1.025 Denver
1.500 New York
0.791 Spokane
1.230 Chicago
Feel free to stop by the office to pick it up. Or you can order a printed
