Dear Fellow Friammers,
I wonder if some of you would be willing to help me with a wild pro=social scheme. I know that some of you use research gate. I kind of got hooked on it because it seemed to be a way for scientific work to be easily spread around and possibly a utility to promote discussions on important matters with people all over the world. I have “met” some people through RG who are almost as weird an interesting as the people on this list, and as you all know, that’s saying something.
It is my unhumble opinion that R.G. has been very slow and inconsistent in its development. Many of its utilities are lame … they remind me of the “blackboard” technology of the 90’s. So, I have started a project on RG, https://www.researchgate.net/project/HELPING-RESEARCH-GATE-TO-FULFILL-ITS-PROMISE .
Would some of you who are familiar with research gate and it’s weakness please be so kind as to point out some problems by commenting on the site. Please use the suggested format. I think RG is much more likely to pay attention if the comments are pithy and well organized.
