So, Owen. What is new-to-you about this?
I guess the thing that get's me about Dawkins is his naive assumption that one can EVER make an argument that is not founded in some naive assumption. Somebody as sophisticated as he shouldn't be so naive. Nick Nicholas S. Not Dawkins. What's new to me is a full time philosopher on the staff of NYT.
And looking at some of his past articles, it seems he is not a "pop philosopher" for the opinion page, but quite nuanced and holds deep conversations with the readership. -- Owen On Aug 14, 2010, at 11:50 AM, Nicholas Thompson wrote: > So, Owen. The Opinionator is where The Times puts longer pieces it doesn't make Op-Ed pieces. It's very broad. There are number of regular contributors. They recently started a "Philosopher's Stone" sub-portion that contains pieces by academic philosophers--with no one philosopher in charge.
