Bill McKelvey, who put on the Arrowhead conference some of us just got
back from, is publishing a review paper on power laws, and how they
will impact social sciences. He'd be delighted to get wide review from
such as ourselves.

Conclusion: No statistical findings should be accepted into
organization
science if they gain significance via some assumption-device by which
extreme events and infinite variance are ignored.
