New York times has an interesting article

"Fundrace 2004" (
http://www.fundrace.org) a web site that lets you see
the address and occupation of your neighbors who have donated money to
the presidential campaign along with the particulars of their
donations. Interesting stats included like addresses with the most
democrat or republican funding. Very interesting. I have been waiting
to tell you all about it until I could access the site myself (too much
traffic for their server!). Finally did... its for real. Very
interesting, public information of course -- but centralization with
search features really transforms such info -- and its unintended uses,
etc... Interesting.
