wags might recall that the hegemonic super-software in the movie "Antitrust"
was also named 'Synapse' :-) http://www.us.imdb.com/title/tt0218817/ ---- Introducing SYNAPSE Peltarion introduces Synapse the ultimate development tool for adaptive systems. Synapse combines the most advanced adaptive systems technology with an unprecedented ease of use. RELEASE DATE: 30/4/2006 http://www.peltarion.com/ Peltarion Synapse is the most advanced development environment for adaptive systems on the market. It allows you to design, train and deploy adaptive systems to any Microsoft .NET Framework or .NET Compact Framework compatible platform. Synapse combines an easy-to-use graphical user interface with powerful algorithms for adaptive systems and neural networks as well as a component-based design approach that allows for easy integration with existing systems.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peltarion_Synapse About the company: Peltarion is a company that specializes in adaptive systems. It provides software products for the development and deployment of such systems as well as consulting services helping the customer to integrate adaptive solutions into existing infrastructure. The flagship product of Peltarion is an integrated Rapid Application Development environment called Synapse that allows the user to swiftly design, train and deploy adaptive systems. Synapse is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2006. Peltarion is privately owned. It is based in the European Union with its headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peltarion ------- Artificial Intelligence 1: Working backwards from HAL http://insight.zdnet.co.uk/hardware/emergingtech/0,39020439,39259512,00.htm Nick Hampshire, ZDNet Insight UK, March 27 2006, 15:40 BST http://insight.zdnet.co.uk/ Artificial Intelligence 2: DNA sequencers to dancing robots http://insight.zdnet.co.uk/hardware/emergingtech/0,39020439,39259779,00.htm Nick Hampshire, ZDNet Insight UK, March 28 2006, 11:40 BST Artificial Intelligence 3: The edge of research and beyond http://insight.zdnet.co.uk/hardware/emergingtech/0,39020439,39259807,00.htm Rupert Goodwins, ZDNet Insight UK, March 29 2006, 18:40 BST ------- |
Looks right slick! I assume the "time lagged recurrent networks" are the
same as Elman Networks? I'm using a home-brew implementation of them for some work on language acquisition. I've looked at various neural net tools (NeuroSolutions, Ward, MATLAB) I have yet to find such a tool kit that I find useful enough to stop "rolling my own" adaptive software, but this one looks like it has potential. And I know many here will groan, but I'm GLAD it's a done in .net ... .net 2 is actually quite good, and leaves java and java-isms pretty much in the dust in terms of developer productivity. =jim rutt At 05:35 PM 4/1/2006, you wrote: >wags might recall that the hegemonic super-software in the movie "Antitrust" >was also named 'Synapse' :-) > http://www.us.imdb.com/title/tt0218817/ > >---- >Introducing SYNAPSE >Peltarion introduces Synapse the ultimate development tool for adaptive >systems.
