It's certainly sexy but if its going to be the next PDF, its going to have to move from being Wolfram centric to being a standerd .. i.e. many providers of content (save as CDF) and viewers (javascript/canvas implementations .. NOT plugins!)

Why?  For most people, PDF is accessed via a plugin.
