Note this research was published in June 2017, as was the article https://bigthink.com/paul-ratner/our-brains-think-in-11-dimensions-discover-scientists that Rutt linked to, and the article that BigThink links to in Newsweek is also from June 2017.  

I don't find anything about 11 dimensional structures in the more recent publications for the Blue Brain Foundation. https://www.epfl.ch/research/domains/bluebrain/blue-brain/publications/.
