More on Seymour Papert

Roger Critchlow-2
This Boston Globe article (
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2006/12/08/top_mit_scientist_injured_in_vietnam/)
quotes Uri Wilensky the PI for NetLogo:

The accident occurred about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, as Papert and Wilensky were
leaving their hotel for a keynote address Wilensky was about to deliver at
the conference hosted by the Hanoi University of Technology.

The two had just been talking about building a mathematical model to
describe Hanoi's notoriously chaotic streets, where there are few traffic
lights or stop signs and a stream of speeding motorbikers.

"We were really amazed and frightened by the traffic," Wilensky said.

More on Seymour Papert

Stephen Guerin
Uri is a light lurker here on Friam.

On behalf of the many here who've been strongly influenced by Dr. Papert's work,
we wish the best for Seymour and a speedy recovery.

-Steve
