I had heard that the LANL library was no longer accessible by ordinary
(ie: non-LANL) civilians.

Can anyone confirm?

Last year it was open to the public (after having been closed in the
wake of 9/11)
But I don't know if access changes with "threat level".

LANL is currently on a higher alert (when the war started) and
(civilians) are not allowed to use it. Civilians were able to use it
before the higher alert.  My understanding is that civilians will be
able to use it once again as soon as the threat level is reduced.
