Santa Fe, NM
"It may be humble, but it's home!"
Introduction
The association is a growing community wireless network. At present, we have installed and
tested infrastructure, which includes access points at two (soon to be five) locations in
the Eldorado area, as well as a central routing location that is reachable from much of
the south 285 area.

Access points are on Condesa Road, Mimosa Road and Demora Court, and we are planning new
AP's on Monte Alto Road, Gold Mine Road in Cerrillos and by Turquoise Trail Elementary on
highway 14.

The association has ordered a 1.5 Mbps T-1 line as the upstream bandwidth, expected by end
March (it is on schedule). Over fourteen households are currently members, with more
joining over time.

One-time costs for bandwidth to member households will be around $50, which will be
rebated. Monthly costs are $60, and that figure will be lowered as more households come on
line.

Meetings
The current meeting schedule is weekly on Monday evenings at 6:30 PM. We will alternate
business meetings with tech sessions, so those that don't wish to be inundated in geekia
don't have to. Of course, some of us geeks will definitely leak in the business meetings,
so please be tolerant. The intent is to keep meetings to 1.5 hours max. Great goal and
someday we may even achieve it.

Next meeting: Monday, 7 April, 2003, 6:30 PM at the Eldorado Public Library on Torreon
Road.
