JIR VS AIR

Nick Thompson
All,

Just in case it matters, I learned that the Journal of Irreproducible
Results has not
been replaced by Annals of Improbable Research but augmented by it.  JIR is
in the
hands of  [hidden email] and its web address is
http://www.jir.com.
Apparently the blood is not entirely good between the two organizations
because the
following disclaimer appears in a sample issue of AIR: "IMPORTANT:
AIR was created by the founders and entire former editorial staff
(1955-1994) of The
Journal of Irreproducible Results; however AIR is in no way associated with
that
publication or with its publisher, nor should AIR in anyway be confused
with either of
those entities".

I assume THAT passage isn't a joke, scientific or otherwise.
