Is there something like a mix of wordpress and wix?

Gillian Densmore
Greetings,
As I don't know wich is the "right group"  I am looking for something like a Wix+wordpress combination or mix

By that I meen a weby-web site or what ever the right super fancy word is where installing this thing is straitforward and the docs are written in plain English.
Has a place to try it out, and lots of cookie cutters and themes.

I asked before and got crickets so I thought it worthwhile to ask again.

A little background if it's helpful: I have used wordpress. Lots of themese and plugins and stuff etc. From my looking around I haven't found a way to do two things:

I can't figure out for the life of me a way to make theme from scrach IF needed or wanted by being able to click together stuff just like legos.  Then fix things if needed. If anyone was paying attention before I have used Frontpage or whatever Mozilla/Firefox called there darn fun thingy to make websites with was called where could make a website by clicking things together like lego's. While I CAN do stuff the ol'fation way with HTML and CSS. It sux. Write out code, edit out typos have no damn idea how the thing will look in the end. Etc.

So I thought: Surely there's a webplace making tool that's like using legos:
By that I meen  I can click click on a button to change fonts or a background while looking at the part of the website that needs some minor changes by clicking on a bucket then clicking it in place.
if I need to add news, pictures to news article as a option I can do so by clicking things in place while looking at the part that says news (for example) and a pictures or background etc click into place or taken off a news item and saved in a bucket for later.

I've looked for that doodad in wordpress with no luck:
Anyone have experience if that's even possible with wordpress? If not what other webplace maker can do that?

Is that simply a issue with wordpress?
I haven't found a way to dig through wordpress.orgs reely big list of themes. Pick one that's close, install it, Then find a button that says make some changes and it might  go into a lego mode Such that if the name of the place, or news and about about bits can be added or uptdated wile looking at the page and clicking things in place.
OR
if I have to build up a nice website theme from scrach, as simple as using legos and clicking things place while looking at what ever I'd be making without needing to reload a the site a bunch, have no idea if it'll all be useful and look nice.

If that's not possible what do people do these days? Surely they don't spend 90 hours in a lab cooking things up in a vat somehow then come out  the end with a webpage

Is there webplace builder or what ever they get called these days that works like legos so as that set up and keeping it going is stratforward?.
