Re: Get your barf bags ready

Steve Smith
I finally knuckled down and finished the book Friday.   After a strong start, I discovered that I don't read electronic books very well... I still prefer my fiction on paper...

No barf bag required.

Meanwhile, I *did* enjoy it, and I did wonder how much rewrite went into it as I read it.  A lot of technolgy update was naturally required after 30ish years!   HPC in 1980 was essentially the brand new CRAY I or perhaps a CDC 60 bit monster or perhaps an IBM.     I can't remember now all the updates I recognized.

For those who haven't read it yet, I do recommend it... good old hairy chested hard SciFi in a Doug Roberts package!

My man!

Although I am still glad I stocked up on barf bags, you never know when they will come in handy...

Does it contain parrots, too? Or dogs ? ("Love, and a bit with a dog. That's
what they want.")
