I just happened across this site, which illustrates income and health  
disparities though-out the world.

There's also a youtube video which might be more interesting.

Anyway, this may be a bit dated and some of you may have seen this. I  
thought the visualizations were kind of interesting. (Although a few  
of the animations were a little silly.)

Hello Richard,

thanks for the link, I didn't know it and really enjoyed the presentation!

Although I didn't find any "silly" animations - I think science and looking
at the world like a child (like in the slide with the flowers) go together
very well..
