Fwd: Paul Ford: What is Code? | Bloomberg

Owen Densmore
Administrator
Frank sent this, and since then, I've come across it mentioned elsewhere, even Charlie Rose.
A look at Bloomberg Businessweek's new issue -- which is taken up by a single, 30,000-word essay on computer code. Joining Charlie for the converasation are Bloomberg Businessweek editor Josh Tyrangiel and writer and programmer Paul Ford.
Going viral.

Wow! This is extraordinary. A pdf is > 100 pages .. 95 pages w/o notes and initial cover page.  It'll take a while but definitely worth it and, yay, well written.  Thanks!

The whole issue of the magazine was devoted to it.  Unusual.

I’m trying to read it now, but holy crap, whoever designed the web
page should be shot. Hope I don’t get a migraine reading it.

Here it is:  http://bloom.bg/1MXZMAI  No PDF, though, just online.  And I called Downtown Subscription, and it was not carrying it, at least they don't have it today.
