We have a job posting for a Linux administrator at the link below.  If you know anyone who might be interested, could you pass it along?  The state’s recruitment site is a bit difficult to work with.  It requires that the applicant upload college transcripts if they state they have a degree – otherwise the application never gets forwarded to the hiring official.  We’ve lost out on several good potential candidates due to problems with the submission process so I’d encourage applicants to also contact the hiring official if they have questions about the process.  Pay at the state is still quite challenged compared to the market.  There are some advantages ( good people to work with like me and a very good mission ).  This position has been budgeted at midpoint which is about 60K.  There is only a little bit of room around that budgeted amount.

We will have another Network/Sys Admin position posting in a few weeks that will be at a slightly higher level.
