Fwd: CCA: Two composers perform new work tomorrow night at 7pm

Stephen Guerin

a pdf flyer for the event is at http://www.redfish.com/cca.pdf

Hey all,
Tomorrow night at CCA in the Moving Image Lab for October's
'Oscillate/Osculate' are Phil Mantione and Ron Helman performing
T=2.7k, a new electro-acoustic, multimedia work, based in part on the
chord progression of John Coltrane's 'Giant Steps.'  After Phil and
Ron completely blow our minds, James Brody will present old and new
works:  'A Glimpse into the Garden' for tape and flute, performed in
two different versions by the incomparable Carol Redman; 'Background
Count' for percussion and tape (for which I am playing the percussion
parts); 'Zazon'; and 'Archipelago Uncharted' which is a new work Brody
has composed to debut at this appearance.
The evening will begin at 7pm with a composer's discussion.  I hope to
see you all there.
Best!
/Martin Back
