Technology Ventures Corporation holds an Equity Symposium each May in ABQ and each September in California. The 2004 event will be TVC's 11th annual in NM. It takes hundreds of hours to organize the event itself, thousands of hours to find and coach the presenters and approximately $100K to run a professional event up to the standards of Venture Capital firms. TVC is happy to organize this event as a way to find funding sources for our companies.
If you are interested in applying to be a presenter, please contact myself, Susan J. Gorges, at 473-7011. -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] On Behalf Of Gus Koehler Sent: Monday, February 02, 2004 3:23 PM To: 'The Friday Morning Applied Complexity Coffee Group' Subject: [FRIAM] Funding for start-ups Why not do the same in Santa Fe? Funding is an issue. LA has used large utilities like Southern Cal
Edison to partner the effort. Any large utilities or other like and interested funders in the area? There may also be national laboratory technology transfer money and related funds to support such efforts. Anything happening in this area?
