FW: RESPEC seminar series: XML sessions and more at Coll SF

Not to be a nay-sayer, but this seems like a microsoft
advertisement disguised as a general talk!  Just a little
alarming that the local college is being taken over for
microsoft's purposes.  Is there equal time for the open
source community?

In reply to this post by Owen Densmore
Thanks Owen...

I appreciate the feedback supporting the open source community case
involvement. I will press the organizers of these events to let them know
they should consider such a track, which some of you probably could help
develop or even instruct. I will let you know what I hear back from them.

I know some of the players at RESPEC but do not have anything to do with the
function other than letting you know about it. The reason I forwarded the
notice to the FRIAM list is that I recalled conversations with Bios (Mary)
about the need for local training sessions and thought that these events
come as close as anything locally developed.

See you in a few minutes at FRIAM I hope and hear about the Italy trip...
