Subject: New Mexico Open Source User Group January Meeting Wed Jan 21

All,

Remember (put it on your calendar) that our next meeting is this coming
Wednesday, January 21, 2004.  The meeting will again be on TVI Main-North
Campus.  I have moved the meeting to the E-Lab (E-101), due to the N labs
and S-10 room already being used.

Tell all your friends in IT that Eclipse is the "free" Open Source Java IDE
(integrated development environment) and they should be there for two great
presentations.  We all need to work at building this User Group and Michael
and I need your assistance in getting the word out, volunteering, trying to
find presenters on different topics, be a committee member, etc.  We need to
have more ITers attend and participate else we will probably go out of
existence
like some other User Groups in town.

If you are not on our mailing list please go to our website www.nmosug.org
and join our listserv.

Chris Shannon has called and verified that the Eclipse Presentation will
take place.  He will give his presentation at 6:30.  Michael Tolle will give
his presentation around 7:45.  Check out our website for topics.

I have acquired all of the paperwork to make the nmosug.org a TVI
"Club/Student" Organization.  This way we don't have to file for non-profit
and can use the TVI foundation staff as a resource for donations, etc.  I
will fill out the paper and get the required signatures.

Thanks

Tom Mitchell and Michael Tolle (Co-Chairs until we elect officers.)
