Hi everyone, and THANKS to all the people who attended our First Friday
Fractal show last month. It was a splendid success!

And we're hard at work busily making the show even better for next time. The
computers have been running non-stop for the last couple of weeks, rendering
incredible super-deep fractal zooms at ultra high-resolution. If you thought
it was awesome last time, just wait! The show is a dazzling fulldome video
tour into mathematical fractals - infinitely complex and inconceivably huge
- interwoven with an exploration of the naturally occurring fractals all
around us. It's art. It's science. It's educational. It's spectacular. And
it's a whole lot of fun.

The next shows are Friday, July 7th - next week already! And we do the show
at both 6:00 and 7:30. It's at LodeStar Planetarium, in the NM Museum of
Natural History and Science  in Albuquerque . I recommend getting there a
little early to make sure you get a good seat. Last time we didn't quite
sell out the shows, but we may well this time. It's hard to know how the PR
works - we should be both in the Alibi and on KUNM next week, so it could
well be swamped.

There's one thing I'd like to apologize for from last month's show. There
was some confusion about the ticket pricing, with my intent having been that
kids 12 and under were free. What actually happened was that the staff
charged everyone a flat rate. I did not know that was happening till
afterwards unfortunately. I'm really, really sorry about that, and hope
nobody was too put out. To avert further confusion, we've decided to just
follow standard planetarium pricing, which is as follows: Adults $6, seniors
$5, and kids 3-12, $3.  Hopefully this will work out better.

One final invitation: we have a special policy to allow up to ten school
teachers in per show for free. We still have a few spaces available for next
week's shows. Teachers must reserve a spot in advance, and (sorry!) these
are the only reservations we are accepting. If you are a teacher, please
contact me to be added to the list. And if you know a teacher who you think
would benefit from seeing this show - in which math and science are made
beautiful - please forward them this invitation.

In fact, just send this email to your friends who might enjoy the show. As
long as we can keep filling the planetarium, they'll let us keep doing these
shows. And they're getting really good! I hope to see you there!
Thanks,
