FRIAM folk,
Today the EvoGrid project was featured in a wonderful article in the New
York Times. Written by veteran science and tech reporter John Markoff it
features some great quotes from Prof. Richard Gordon and George Dyson and
two color images from the original EvoGrid movie. This will raise the
visibility of the project tremendously. If you get the physical paper it
is at the top of page 3 of Science Times in Section D.
Online it is at:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/29/science/29grid.html
(please vote to recommend the article so we get a higher ranking
;-)
The server side is getting ready for runs in October generating data out
of GROMACS. What we need now is people who would be willing to build
observers in BOINC (SETI@Home). Anyone on Friam interested in this please
get in touch with me at [hidden email]
Lets hope that this will help us find a philanthropist or other funding
source or partner to allow us to expand the effort in 2010 and get the
EvoGrid@Home portion online!
