I didn't hear of a vote on this. If there were such a vote, I would have
nominated Mannheim Steamroller's "Fractals - Infinity in Mathematics",
from their Fresh Aire VIII album. It has lots of heavy drum beats that
makes me think of Stu's interest in drumming.

I'm not trying to add a nomination after the fact, but it would be fun
to come up with a collection of songs that somehow related to chaos,
complexity, and related topics. In addition to the above mentioned track,
there are bound to be works from Kraftwerk that would fit.

Owen, would you host a low resolution version of the mp3 file on your
backspaces.net site? Of course, it's your call whether this would get
too far into dangerous copyright territory by doing too much of it...

Too much?  Anything worth doing is worth overdoing, to quote Heinlein.

BTW: To correct a possible misunderstanding: the Entropy mp3
was sent to me by my son Tim in San Diego from:
        http://www.mchawking.com/multimedia.php?page_function=mp3z
..he did not actually produce it!

Do you have an MP3 of it?  I'd love to hear it.

Way cool idea!  I'd love to get 6 to 12 such interesting recordings
as a nifty way to introduce even more complexity topics to the masses.

Alas, no. Its fairly dense as is, sampled at 128 kbps.  If anyone has
a RealAudio server, we could try it there.
