After the YouTube founder's purchase of Delicious, I checked my pinboard account (which mirrors delicious) and find I prefer it now .. quieter and simpler and faster.
I'll probably use both for a while, but now that both have Chrome extensions, I think pinboard has the edge. And both work well in Chrome's "search engines" so typing "pin foo" finds any pinboard bookmarks with foo in tags or url/title.

For what its worth: Chrome & its extensions, plus Delicious/Pinboard has drastically reduced my browser bookmark usage. I did a huge clean up over a couple of days and really prefer the web based bookmarks. Chrome sync seems to work now .. a while back it was flaky. Keeps chrome on multiple devices synched via your google account.
