Donald Trump should make every psychologist happy. First he is a perfect example of a person with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD). Second his attacks on the press are a good example of the theory of cognitive dissonance, first proposed by Leon Festinger in 1957. When confronted with uncomfortable facts from CNN, the NY Times or the WP that contradict his belief that he is the greatest president ever, he will find a way to resolve the contradiction to reduce his discomfort, i.e. he will attack the free press as the "enemy of the people". This is exactly what the theory of cognitive dissonance says. From a psychological perspective Donald is quite interesting.
